new friends

No matter how many friends you have, it's always fun to make new ones. And so many people fit so many different stages of life differently. We have new friends that are within walking distance of us (finally! we know people in our neighborhood!) and they're expecting their first baby on basically the same day as us (I'm Sept 13, she's Sept 14)! A older neighbor/friend of hers told her about us and she is gutsy and just called us out of the blue, so we invited them over for dinner last night and sat up until midnight visiting. Very fun couple, easy to visit with. They recently moved here from north-central Wisconsin, and while he's originally from this area, she's a native Wisconsinite and has the rolling ooooo's of the Minnesota variety. I love that accent.
