break out the cake and ice cream

Asher is two months old today, how time flies. He's grown so much that I already am longing to hold a tiny newborn in my arms again.... and he's basically still a newborn, but not so tiny. At about 24 inches and 13 pounds, if he doesn't slow down he's going to catch up with babies much older than him very soon!

He's smiling a little, though the smiles don't come as readily as we'd like just yet. He hasn't actually discovered his hands yet, but he definitely has more control over them and he can hit the toys on his floor mat to make the music play with almost 100% accuracy. He figured out how to get his fist to his mouth and chews on it with gusto now... he squeezes his fist as tight as he can, with his thumb between his index and middle finger, and proceeds to try to stuff the whole thing in his mouth. He loves his bouncy seat with the toys on it, and when he gets it to go he gets really excited - the arms and legs move like crazy and his eyes get huge.

Happy Birthday baby boy!
