he's growing up

Our almost-one-year old had his first taste of a dill pickle tonight. I set my pickle in front of him at a restaurant, and he grabbed it and stuck it in his mouth, then promptly made the funniest face scrunched up/sour face I've ever seen him make, and slowly set the pickle down on the table... watching it suspiciously the whole way.

But this little man isn't one to give up even if the taste was unexpected, so he picked it up and repeated the whole thing over again.

Then, again. Only this time he held on to the pickle. And, by this time we were laughing so much at him that he started showing off.

He continued sticking the pickle in his mouth and making faces, and they were starting to look pretty fake. Our entertainment for the evening. Thanks baby blue. Looking forward to many more shows to come.
