Fall used to be my favorite season

There's typically something relaxing about fall. The cool crisp weather, harvest, football. This fall has felt more like winter, until this weekend. We have the windows open and it's gorgeous outside. And we're enjoying pumpkins and football.

Baby Blue Eyes has gotten so he tries to repeat pretty much EVERYTHING we say. We decided his first words were officially truck, tractor and banana (this is excluding mama and dada). But he's copying everything else... diaper, turtle, etc, etc. And he knows exactly what we're saying (this still kinda amazes me).

AND he's getting faster on those two feet! Don't blink, because if he decides to take off, he's gone! He's gotten away from my sight a couple times, in the house, and I've had to go off looking for him. He's usually wandering in a dark closet (are babies born being able to see in the dark? It's amazing how he doesn't even hesitate when walking into a pitch black room).

That brings me to one of the funnier things he does lately. I need to get a video of this. He plays peek-a-boo with the blanket, but he has to wander around while doing it. So the kid throws a blanket up over his head and takes off walking. Never mind if there might be something in his way... toys, walls..
