Birthday Bash

Baby Blue Eyes turned TWO the other day, and he's definitely not a baby anymore. Therefore, I've decided to use his uncle's nickname for him on this blog. Baby Blue Eyes shall henceforth be known as "Little A"

His birthday was on Thursday, and his party was on Saturday, and we had some fun days!

Thursday we went to the art center kids area to play with friends, then came home, played outside...

Saturday, the cousins, aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpa's started arriving and the real fun began!

He REALLY wanted to open the presents the minute they came through the door. Fortunately my sister brought a toy sandbox 'digger' (backhoe) from her house that her kids don't use anymore. That, and the cousins to play with, were a great distraction.

His big cousin LOVES to build Legos... thank goodness, or mommy would have been building this for him instead of getting cake and ice cream ready!

How many kids do you have to drag kicking and screaming to go eat cake and ice cream? This one did NOT want to be drug away from his toys! Though... he was pretty happy once he sat down in front of that train cake (he'd been begging for a bite since he saw it the day before!)

How he knew to blow out the candles, I don't know, but he did it right away and we had to re-light them for singing happy birthday!
